What is Mindivo?

Mindivo is a web application that helps you think more clearly about the people in your life. You build private notes on each person — a parent, partner, friend, coworker, anyone you want to understand better — and an AI assistant helps you organize what you observe.

The product is built around a four-step loop: Understand what you've noticed about someone, Decode what they've said, Rehearse a conversation you're nervous about, and Reflect on real interactions after they happen.

Mindivo runs entirely from observations you choose to share. It does not collect, scrape, or analyze information about anyone from external sources.

How is my data kept private?

All notes, chats, and persona profiles are encrypted in transit and at rest. Your data is never sold, and never shared with third parties for marketing or AI training. We do use trusted service providers (cloud hosting, AI model providers, payment processing) to run the product — they act as data processors under contract and only handle your data to deliver the service. See our Privacy Policy for the full list.

Your notes are never used to train AI models — neither ours nor any third-party model provider's. When you chat with the AI assistant, only the specific information you share in that session is sent to the model.

You can request account deletion at any time, which removes your notes, chats, and profiles (subject to limited legal retention — see Privacy Policy).

What does the AI actually do with my notes?

Mindivo's AI assistant is a thinking partner, not an oracle. It uses what you have written about a person to help you organize observations, suggest patterns you may have missed, role-play conversations from that person's perspective, and structure what you take away from real interactions.

All AI outputs are inferences based on the notes you provide. The AI has no information about real people beyond what you choose to share within a chat session.

Models are provided by established AI providers (including DeepSeek and Google). Your messages are sent to these providers only for the duration of the request and are not retained for training.

Is Mindivo free?

Mindivo offers a free tier with a daily chat limit, suitable for trying out the product and casual use. Paid Pro and Max plans unlock unlimited daily chats, access to higher-quality AI models, and larger file uploads.

New users receive 7 days of free Pro access when they sign up. Users who join through a referral link receive 14 days.

See the pricing page for current plan details and limits.

Can I delete my account and data?

You can request account deletion at any time by emailing us. Once your request is processed, your account is removed along with your notes, persona profiles, chat history, and uploaded files. Some records may be retained in anonymized form, or in original form where required by law (for example, payment and tax records from past invoices) — see the Privacy Policy for details.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you have an active paid subscription, it is canceled immediately as part of the deletion process.

Refund eligibility for the most recent charge follows the standard refund policy in the Terms of Service.

Does Mindivo collect data about the people I write about?

Mindivo never collects, scrapes, or analyzes information about anyone from social media, public databases, or any other external source. Each persona profile exists only as the notes and observations you choose to provide.

For private people in your life — friends, family, coworkers — the AI's understanding is limited entirely to what you have written. The AI has no real-world knowledge of them and cannot look them up.

If you build a profile of a public figure or a fictional character from a public work (a celebrity, an author, a character from a book, film, or game), the underlying AI model may draw on the general knowledge it acquired during training to fill in widely-known details. This is how large language models work — they hold broad public knowledge in their parameters. Mindivo does not perform additional lookups or web searches on your behalf.

Because Mindivo only stores your own writing about real people in your life, you are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis to record such notes under your jurisdiction's privacy and confidentiality laws — see the Terms of Service for details.
